Okay, I see it now. I truly have a football problem. I am watching Rutgers and UCF play in the “St. Petersburg Bowl”. It’s just that I don’t like to watch basketball and well, it is the only football on. Actually, I am not complaining because I am just glad there IS one on again.
Since it’s December 19th, we took a family ride to look at Christmas lights. Normally, I like this activity but tonight an evening of seeing inflated blow up Santas and snowmen chasing penguins in front of double-wides in rural Morgan County just didn’t do it for me. So here I am at the TV, feeling relieved and at peace as I watch the beginning of an extensive Bowl Season!!

Hey Charlsa: Liked the list of Bowl games. Is it me or are there more Bowl games then ever before? I remember in past years Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Cotton Bowl, but have never heard of a “Insight Bowl”. I thought these were supposed to be “special” football games. I am glad there are still games to watch but it seems as if they have made more Bowls and less feast for the fans:) I wonder how many folks will call in sick on the 8th of January??
Sue
Yes, Sue….there are lots more bowl games now and they all bring BIG $ to the universities, the sponsors AND the hosting cities. I guess that is why there aren’t very many complaints from the fan bases about abundance. You will probably notice as you watch this year that the bowls are actually called by the name of the sponsor rather than the familiar “Sugar”…now, Nokia Sugar Bowl, The “Tostitos Fiesta Bowl” and so forth.
Yes, I predict that a terrible stomach flu outbreak will erupt on January 8th. Everyone will recover however, by Monday!
